Song: All Praise To Him
Song: Where Were You

II. CONFESSION
Individual Call: Psalm 139:23-24
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
24 And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!

Corporate Call:
Lord, we confess that we have sinned against You in thought, word, and deed.

Not only in outward rebellion, but in hidden desires and secret thoughts—all of which are laid bare before You.

We have resisted Your Word and ignored Your voice. We have failed to love You with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We have failed to love our neighbors as ourselves. Our hearts have been seduced by the lust of the eyes and flesh, our minds darkened by pride and selfish ambition. We are quick to wander and slow to repent.

We need deliverance from the sin that so easily entangles and hardens us.

So we come to you now seeking your grace, your mercy, and your forgiveness according to the precious work of Christ.

Response: Father, forgive us.

III. ASSURANCE OF PARDON
Arise and hear the good news!
Church, your prayers have not failed, for your confession has ascended to the right hand of the Father, where the Great High Priest has now interceded on your behalf.

So lift up your hearts:

The Almighty King— full of grace and truth,
faithful to a thousand generations,
whose love is deeper than the ocean
and whose glory blazes brighter than the stars—This saving King has pulled you out of darkness and brought you into His marvelous light.
He has washed you clean.
He has sanctified you by His Spirit.
He has justified you in His Son.
He has adopted you as His own
For you he died. And for you he was raised to new life!

So Church, lift up your hearts and hear these words and know that the risen savior has declared now and for eternity that your sins are forgiven!

Response: Thanks be to God!
